What is the bachelorette party?
Bachelorette party is a party thrown for the woman about to be married. Other known names to it are hen party or hen’s night. This party is equivalent to what boys have before getting married called bachelor party. The bachelorette party invitations are send only a few days (probably just before) before the marriage. The party should be organized in such a way that it should not embarrass the guests and should honor and be comfortable to the bride-to-be. Generally people prefer to have cocktail parties as this provides a comfortable environment for the exchange of intimate ideas and suggestion to the would-be-bride.
A lot of sites are offering save the date card and the date invitation; generally used to invite people for feast and such functions. Now you can design your own date cards and send them across, of course technology has played very important role in providing such facilities. The night (gathering) before the actual party invitation is called as the rehearsal dinner invitations. The concept of the rehearsal dinner is to provide an opportunity to the guests in order to get mingle and settle down for the grand occasion as this happens evening before the actual occasion.
The rules for type of party are not very stringent and can be relaxed as the focus is towards all those assisting in the happening of the occasion, instead of being towards the couple. Traditionally groom’s parents and relatives host this party, but in unavoidable circumstances hosting by someone else is alright. Generally verbal invitations are accepted but if you are hesitating you can definitely send out a written invite and don’t forget to mention the due date.
